Making Good Use of 'The Look'
I have received comments in the past from friends and acquaintances alike about how I look unfriendly/arrogant/murderous when I don't smile... Sounds pretty bad for my social mechanics but I've since found a few good uses for that look:
1) To stare daggers at crazy drivers on the road who honk at me for the slightest thing (although they usually can't see me starring daggers at them)
2) To stare down an entire aisle of over-zealous jewellery shop assistants (really, I did that just now and none of the 6 sales assistants so much as offered me a flyer... The cynic in you may think 'well perhaps you look like you couldn't afford anything!'... But I tried adopting a softer look the next time I walked down the same aisle and some of them tried shoving flyers at me)
3) To hint at people around me to leave me alone
But of course, it really isn't very healthy nor sociable to look hostile all the time... Do remind me to smile more the next time you see me... Smile =)
