It Happens But It Doesn't Matter
So spoke the 'last good guy left'. Things do happen (duh) but most don't matter at the end of the day. I should learn not to take people too seriously and most importantly not to expect too much from people. Maybe I'm a naivete or maybe I'm just over-optimistic when it comes to human relations. In any case, that probably isn't too good a trait to have in the cynical world we live in.
Then again we have to continue to keep faith. That if there is just one more person out there who you can call a friend, there is nothing wrong with being optimistic. It is not for vainity nor for any hidden agenda but for the simple human need of acceptance, understanding and companionship. Even if I don't find another friend, I count my blessings for the few gems that have been bestowed upon me.
