Chiong the E.R.P. Gantry and The Legend of the White Mouse

its entrance is juz a stone's throw from my place...
and right after entering the expressway, there's a big blue overhead board which screams 'E.R.P.' in your face...
E.R.P. starts sucking the blood of all unsuspecting (or can't be bothered or simply too rich) motorists from 7.30am in the morning... if i have lessons at 8am in the morning, i'll leave my house at say... a few minutes before 7.30am to experience the thrill of chionging the E.R.P. gantry...
i made it again this morning~! =)
i made it past the gantry at 7.29am... hahaha... the most irritating thing to do is to brake under the gantry and u can juz imagine the distress of the motorists behind... of course, a simple tap on the brake might have warranted a variety of curses on your ancestors by the time u're 10m away from it... but seriously... chionging the E.R.P. gantry is often the most exciting part of peak hour traffic... otherwise, i'm often only half awake... so yahz... i dun think many will want a ride from me in the morning after reading this =)
and then there's the legend of the white mouse... the white mouse being of course our law-enforcers moving around in their white motorbikes under this scorching heat... now that the gahmen are putting their laser pointers out to sundry (oh yeah finally), we'll no longer be able to argue about not knowing the presence of the laser pointers when we get caught for speeding... and there'll be white mice stationed at every laser pointer... they will of course be clearly visible (maybe u can argue that u're ceh meh if u ever get caught for speeding) be they shuai ges, chio bus or just the contrary...
so wad am i trying to say here? well... i made a very interesting observation today... the extreme right lane of the expressway was super EMPTY! hahaha... everyone is in awe of the legend of the white mouse and suddenly, i felt inclined to think that every gahmen-challenging singaporean had been turned into a law abiding citizen... Singapore is still a fine city after all... eh no wait a minute... now we should be called the demerit points city... nono sorrie... it should be the 'drive above 50 km/h and get demerit points' city...

Wait till one day you drive through the ERP gantry at 7.31am.. then i will laugh. =)
